Yvonne Marie Demontiney, Indian Name: Ne-gaw-we-nan-ah-ski-gaw-pim-mo-tat (Walks on Mother Earth)
Yvonne passed away on Friday February 23, 2024, due to natural causes. Yvonne was born August 18th, 1950, to her parents Joe and Delia Demontiney in Fort Belknap, Montana. She was the granddaughter of Four Souls and Chief Little Bear. Yvonne is survived by her siblings Jeanette Demontiney, James "Jim" Demontiney, Donita "Sue" Demontiney Joe (Melinda) Demontiney, Natalie Demontiney, Mary Demontiney, Hayley Demontiney, and Kelly Eagleman all of Rocky Boy, MT, Also by her Children Donavan (Kim) Demontiney, Stephanie Old Chief, Raymond Gopher, Paul (Norma) Gopher Jr., Paula Gopher, Robin Gopher, Blayne Demontiney, Randee Demontiney, Anthony(Toni) Arocha, Angel (Clayton) Kill Eagle and her baby boy William Arocha Jr. She is also survived by her special adopted sons Pete Demontiney and special friend Leslie Brown. She is preceded in death by her Parents Joe and Delia Demontiney, Aunt Joyce Four Souls, brother Peter Demontiney, sister Linda Demontiney, uncle Bruce Sunchild, aunt Zella Nault, sisters, Fern Doney, Laverne Demontiney, and Dola Belcourt, Grandmother Mary Four Souls, grandfather Four Souls, great-grandfather Chief Little Bear and her baby Bryan Jack Gopher.
Yvonne was a strong independent woman who was the rock of her family and was never afraid to speak her mind. She had many Friends and Family whom she loved deeply and enjoyed visiting. She was the proud Grandmother and Great Grandmother of many grandkids who loved her very, very much including her special great grandchildren Markis, Aariah, Braiton "Phatman", Alijah, Connor, AJ, Kiara, and Baby Klay, Ra-Kinzlei, Isaac. She loved traveling, listening to the Eagles, John Fogerty, and CCR. she loved watching powwows and round dances, and was an avid bingo player but visiting her friends & family was her favorite pastime. Although a strong person in her nature, she had a huge heart and always made sure her children's needs were met. Along with her Native American heritage, she loved to Attend Church where she met many new friends, so many of whom to name.
Yvonne was the best mother, grandmother and sister, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
