Wilma was born on August 25, 1949, in Rocky Boy to William and Ida (Sangrey) LaMere, Sr. She was raised in Rocky Boy, attending school there. In 1972, Wilma married William Morris "Corky" Corcoran, and they spent the next 22 years moving around with military postings, and raising their children. After Morris was discharged, they landed in California for a time and then returned home, but retained their home in California for winter retreats.
Wilma was a kind and loving, but spunky and outspoken woman with a heart of gold. She was funny and loved to tease. She adored her husband, children, grandchildren, and the numerous members of her extended family. Wilma was very smart, and she used her intelligence to help others. She was the ultimate Rocky Boy Stars fan, following the team everywhere to support them. Her generosity was unlimited. She and Corky purchased soda for the pop shoot at the school. They also purchased food and other supplies for children and adults in need.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Michael and Raymond Corcoran; parents, William and Ida LaMere, Sr.; sisters, Eleanore "Beebs" Skinner, Mary "Allie" Taylor, and Kay Finley; brothers, David, Danny, and William "Boboy" LaMere; and grandparents, Gabe and Elizabeth (Saddler) LaMere, and Frank and Josephine (Collins) Sangrey.
Wilma is survived by her husband of 54 years, William Morris "Corky" Corcoran of Rocky Boy; sons, Tad LaMere and William (Heather) Corcoran, all of Rocky Boy; adopted daughter, Jateyea Moses; grandchildren, Brent, Samantha, Arik, Shane, Kyle, Chloe, Sonya, J'Shon, Tad, Paula Jo, and Haley; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Joann Ahenakew of Rocky Boy and Virginlene Raya of Great Falls; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family, adopted family, and many, many friends.
