Wilford Henry
Duran
August 15, 1957 – August 27, 2016
Wilford "Henry" Duran, 59, of Rocky Boy, passed away due to natural causes on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Northern Montana Care Center.
Henry was born on August 15, 1957, in Fort Belknap to James Dubois, Sr. and Agnes Duran. He was raised in Rocky Boy by Leo and Elizabeth (St. Pierre) Duran, Sr., attending Box Elder schools. Following his school years, he worked for the Hill County Road Crew and for Bear Paw Survey out of Casper, Wyoming. He was also in the Montana Army National Guard for several years. Throughout his adult life, Henry also worked as a cook at various locations, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
He was a fun-loving man who loved cooking, camping, and woodworking, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his beloved family and cooking at Henry's Hut. You knew he liked you if he was joking with you.
Henry was preceded in death by his adoptive parents Leo and Elizabeth Duran, Sr.; and his brothers, Tommy and Clifford Duran, and Elmer Jr. and Frankie Morsette.
He is survived by his beloved wife Connie Duran of Rocky Boy; his daughters Jackie (Jason) Belcourt, Rebecca (Jenson) Wolf Chief, Jennifer (Lyman) Wolf Chief, Jr., and Willdette Duran, all of Rocky Boy, and Brittney (Lane LaMere) Duran of Great Falls; his sons Kyle (Bernie) Duran of Havre, and Ascencio Duran of Rocky Boy; his 15 grandchildren; his sisters Rosilee Lendseth, Shirley Descharm and Elaine (Earl) Nault, all of Rocky Boy, Vina Stump of Norfolk, VA, and Ida Morsette of Rocky Boy; his brothers Stevie Morsette, Victor Morsette, Manuel (Linda) Duran, Sr., and Robert (Roxanne) Duran, all of Rocky Boy, Leo Duran, Jr. of Great Falls, Joe Duran of Idaho, and Richard Duran of Washington; his former wife Gloria Little Owl of Havre; his mother Agnes Morsette of Rocky Boy; his father James Dubois, Sr. of Rocky Boy; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
