Wesley Steven "Snipes" St. Marks, White Eagle Child, 54, passed away at his residence on Friday, March 10, 2023. Wake services will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023, and will continue until his funeral, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the St. Marks Family Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Snipes was born on September 28, 1968, in Havre to Glenn Stump and Carma St. Marks. He was raised all over the US, and discovered swimming as a youngster. He swam competitively for several years in school, and his love of swimming followed him into early adulthood. During high school, Snipes was invited to try out for the US Olympic Team, but was unable to make the tryouts. In the early 90's, having been out of competitive swimming for several years, he attended the Pan Am Games and took the gold medal. He met Annette Stump, and the couple remained together for the past several years.
Snipes enjoyed swimming and spending time with his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Clement "Blue" St. Marks Chief Stick and Michael Rehfeldt; and his grandparents.
Snipes is survived by his significant other, Annette Stump, of Rocky Boy; mother, Carma St. Marks of Minneapolis, MN; father, Glenn Stump of Arizona; stepfather, Edward Rehfeldt of California; siblings, Edward (Lori) Rehfeldt of Eugene, OR, Athena Rehfeldt, C. J. Stump of Minneapolis, MN, and Kiara (Amador) Pacheco, all of Minneapolis, MN, and Christina (Ryan) GildeMontes and Charlie (Meesa) Rehfeldt, all of California; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
