Obituary

Wayne E. Eagleman, Chief Walker and Eagle Spirit, 55, passed away due to natural causes at Benefis Healthcare on Saturday, May 7, 2022.  His wake will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, 2022, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.  Burial will follow in the second Eagleman Family Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Wayne was born on October 2, 1966, in Havre to Galen and Rita (Berger) Eagleman.  He was raised in Rocky Boy, attending Box Elder schools.  After high school, Wayne attended Stone Child College from which he received his certificate in carpentry.   He worked at odd jobs, utilizing his carpentry skills, for many years.  In 2008, his health forced him to retire.

Wayne enjoyed listening to music, teasing with his friends, reading magazines, fishing, and mechanic work.  He loved sports, and teaching his sons, nieces, and nephews how to play basketball was a much-anticipated pastime.  He loved to watch sports on TV, as well, with his favorite teams being the LA Rams, Montana Griz, and the North Carolina Tarheels.  Wayne truly loved using his carpentry skills, and he took great pride in performing odd jobs around the house and building his numerous small projects.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Galen and Rita Eagleman; grandparents, Edward and Rosie (Walking Child) Eagleman and Edward and Elizabeth Berger; niece, Rebecca Eagleman; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Wayne is survived by his sons, Bryant Eagleman and Dell Small, both of Rocky Boy; grandchildren, Jarrod, Roman, and Cheavyo Eagleman; siblings, Ronnie, Gail (John Mitchell), and Melissa (Victor Morsette) Eagleman, Donovan (Terrie) Stump, and Ortin (Juanita) Rock, all of Rocky Boy; uncles, Harlan "Jeff" Eagleman, Francis Eagleman, and Kelly Eagleman, all of Rocky Boy; aunts, Gilda Stanley of Rocky Boy, Bonnie Doney and Sandy Berger, both of Havre, and Shirley Gardipee of Butte; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
