Wanita E. Haines, 84, a mother, wife, sister, grandmother, etc., whose warmth touched countless lives, passed away peacefully at 84 in Havre, Montana.  Born in Havre, Wanita was the first daughter of Floyd and Stephanie Smith, who grew up on a family farm where she learned the value of hard work and community.

In her later years, she embodied sewing and quilting for the community and the Senior Center in Havre.  Wanita was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Haines and son, Alan Haines.  She is survived by her daughter, Susan Haines Keeley, and son, Glen Haines, along with Glen's daughter, Shayley.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.  Wanita believed "Life is best lived with an open heart and grateful soul."  May her light continue to guide us all.
