Trista J. Doke, 46, passed away due to natural causes at her residence on Friday, June 24, 2022. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Trista's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with Deacon Tim Maroney officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Highland Cemetery in Glasgow. Memorials contributions in Trista's honor may be made to the Havre Town Square, Plant a Seed…READ! ( plantaseed@itstriangle.com ), or the charity of the donor's choice. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.
Trista was born on December 11, 1975, in Havre, MT, to parents Keith and Darcy Doke. She attended St. Jude Thaddeus School and graduated from Havre High School in 1994. Trista attended Eastern Montana College in Billings, earning a bachelor's degree in education and later a Master's degree from Lesley College.
Trista was a life-long educator, whose teaching career spanned over 23 years, with 20 years at Rocky Boy Schools, teaching students with special needs. Trista was a dedicated member of the Rocky Boy School faculty and was tirelessly committed to the students.
Trista had a love for people and lived life to the fullest. She was a social butterfly who could often be found attending community events, shopping, and socializing with friends. Her greatest pride and joy were her beloved nephews, who absolutely adored their Auntie Trista. She made regular trips to Minnesota in the summer and on holidays to visit them.
Trista was preceded in death by her grandparents Ruth and C.L. Doke and Beverly and George Olsen, and great-aunt, Ruth Olsen.
She is survived by her parents, Keith and Darcy Doke; brother, Tyson (Lindsey) Doke; nephews, Henrik and Leo Doke; extended family members Ed and Patsy Divish, Ryan Divish, and Marcie Kessel; and many dear friends.
