Obituary

Trey Cole Stiffarm was born on April 26, 1999, to Sheila Walker and Gerald Stiffarm. A proud father, loving friend, and kind-hearted soul, Trey's light touched many. He passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Trey's greatest joy in life was his daughter, Everleigh. He spoke of her often, his face lighting up with pride and love every time. Being her dad was his greatest accomplishment, and his love for her was evident to all who knew him.

Trey grew up in Hays, Montana, where he attended Hays-Lodge Pole High School before transferring and graduating from Rocky Boy High School. He continued his education at Stone Child College, where he pursued a degree in Business. In 2019, he helped his team earn 2nd place at the AIHEC Business Bowl, showcasing not only his intelligence but his leadership and team spirit.

Trey had a natural gift for making people feel seen and included. Whether you were a lifelong friend or someone he just met, he treated you like family. He was always smiling, cracking jokes, and bringing laughter wherever he went. Though he could be moody at times — like all of us — his warmth and good heart always shone through.

Trey had many passions. He was a talented mathematician, a basketball enthusiast, and a music lover with dreams of becoming a music producer. His goals were big, and his drive to reach them was inspiring.

Trey's memory will forever echo in the laughter he shared and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. His spirit, resilience, and warm heart continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in every smile, every game played, every moment of genuine connection he shared, and most especially in the cherished love he shared with his daughter, Everleigh.

Trey is survived by his daughter, Everleigh Hobbs. His mother Sheila Walker (Samuel Roasting Stick), his brothers Joseph Red Elk and Lorin Red Elk (Aryn Broncho) of Rocky Boy, Cordell Stiffarm (Kelsey Gascon) of Great Falls MT, and his sisters Treaunna Stiffarm (Jordan Bauer) of Rocky Boy, Devena Stiffarm (Tavares Colvin) of Great Falls MT, Lena Stiffarm (LaVoria Natewa) of Arizona. His nieces Safaira Red Elk, Ferayah Red Elk, Kyra Red Elk, Makiya Stiffarm, Journee Stiffarm, Elayna Adams (Nicolas Boshane) and his nephews Joseph Red Elk Jr, David Russette III, Mason Bauer, Ashtyn Bauer, Zayden Stiffarm, Croix Adams, and Cory Adams. And many aunts, uncles and cousins.
