T'Jay Brock Allen, 25, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023, in Fort Belknap. Wake services will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, all at the Red Whip Center, with Terry Brockie and Kenneth "Tuffy" Helgeson officiating. T'Jay was born on July 21, 1998, in Havre to Jay Thomas Allen and Kathleen Adams. He was raised in Fort Belknap, graduating from Harlem High School in 2016. While in high school, T'Jay was an incredible high school athlete, qualifying 4-times for state in both wrestling and rodeo. He was the 2012 BPIRA year-end champion qualifying for the IIFR in junior bull riding. From 2013 to 2015, he qualified to the INFR in the junior bull riding. After moving on from the juniors, he won the year-end title in the UIRA, qualifying for the INFR. In 2016, he won the first round at the 2016 INFR, also qualifying in 2017. In 2017, T'Jay was the EPB Rookie of the Year and reserve year-end champion. In 2018, he focused on filling his PRCA permit in the Montana Circuit , leading to his first qualification to the Montana Circuit Finals. That same year, he would go on to win the 2018 EPB title. His Montana Pro career led to wins in Belt and Chinook, which he considered his home-town rodeo. He also had his PBR card, and one of his most memorable rides came in North Dakota, where he scored 87 points and noticed he had scored higher than JB Mauney, who he considered his role model and the greatest. T'Jay wasn't afraid to enter any rodeo, which led to his favorite rodeo in Roy on Father's Day, where he won both the junior bull riding and the open bull riding.
In 2016, he began a relationship with Brooke LeValdo, and the couple had four children. T'Jay went on to attend Aaniiih Nakoda College and MSU-Northern, competing on the Northern Rodeo Team, and majoring in welding and electrical. He worked in maintenance for the Fort Belknap Tribe and most recently worked for Island Mountain Construction Company.
T'Jay was a soft-hearted, kind man who, even in high school, was an excellent role model for others his own age and younger. He was helpful and respectful to those around him, and "adopted" many other teenagers into his family who became brothers. He adored children, especially his own and his nieces and nephews, and always found time to talk with children who approached him. T'Jay was very strong-minded about what he thought was right, and he loved hunting, fishing, and any ranch activities, especially bull and horseback riding.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jay Allen; uncles, Travis First Raised and Rick Doney; grandfather, Francis First Raised; great-grandparents, John "Boogie" Allen, Bernice and JJ Mount, John "Jiggs" Adams, and Agnes Adams.
T'Jay is survived by his significant other, Brooke LeValdo; four children, Tandyn, Breslyn, Taytum, and Treyven Allen; mother, Kathleen Adams; siblings, Jaylynne (Chance Roberts) Allen, Lane (Kassi Perez) Allen, Craig (Alicia) Adams, Michael (Mari Ereaux) Butterfly, Marcus (Jaidyn) Henry, Shane Bird Rattler, and Jarrison Snow; grandparents, Mary Adams, and John and Diane Allen; great-grandmother, Minerva Allen; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousin, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
