Theda Ann (Raining Bird) Blount, Pe-wah-pahn-Ki-si-ko (Coming to Light), 56, passed away due to natural causes on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at her residence in Frazer. Wake services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, and will continue until her funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Theda was born on May 11, 1965, in Havre to Ivan and Patsy (Dogsleep) Raining Bird. She was raised in Rocky Boy, attending school there. Following her graduation in 1983, Theda attended Stone Child College and received her Associate's Degree in Nursing. In 1988, she met Sidney Blount, and the couple moved to Frazer, where they had three children. In 2012, they married, and the couple remained together until Sidney's death. Over the years, Theda worked as a nurse in Great Falls, and the remainder of the time she remained home with her children.
Theda was a kind, loving woman who enjoyed beading, cooking, and spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren. She was shy but always had a smile on her face, and Theda always put others first.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney; parents, Ivan and Patsy Raining Bird; brothers, Simmer, Pernell, and Chris Raining Bird; and nephew, Kyle Raining Bird.
Theda is survived by her children, Megan (Cody) Rivas, Sr. of Rocky Boy and Sydney and Lincoln Blount, both of Frazer; adopted children, Gregory, Josh (Carly), and Steve Raining Bird, and Jacob Lamere, all of Rocky Boy, and Sheldon Brown of Frazer; sister, Susan Raining Bird of Rocky Boy; brothers, Gerry, Johnny, Daniel, Greg, Josh, and Steve Raining Bird; special friend, Netty Brown of Frazer; forty-six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
