Terry L. Peterson, 76, passed away due to natural causes at Benefis Healthcare on Sunday, February 2, 2025.  Cremation has taken place, and private family graveside services will be held at a later date.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.

Terry was born on October 10, 1948, in Glasgow to Vern and Marjory (Wolf) Peterson.  He was raised in Circle and North Dakota.  Following his childhood, the family moved to Billings where he lived until he moved to Illinois.  There, his children were born, and Terry worked as a mechanic.  In 1979, he returned to Havre, working as a mechanic here and there until his motorcycle accident that left him disabled.

Terry was a single-minded man who loved two things … performing mechanical work and drag racing.  He would work on cars all week long just to race them the next weekend.  In his later years, his passion became reconnecting with his children.

He was preceded in death by his son, Arien Peterson; father, Vern Peterson; and brothers, Tim Peterson and Duane Tousley.

Terry is survived by his two children, Andrew Peterson of Jacksonville, FL, and Jaimie (Michael) Garcia of Billings; grandchildren, Aiden and Ryden Garcia; mother, Marjory Senner of Havre; long-time companion, Donna Small of Great Falls; siblings, Dan (Helene) Peterson of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Nina Gaspari of Oak Park, CA, Diane (Mike) Monaghan of Vancouver, WA, Alan (Terri) Peterson of Havre, and Mona (Steve Simons of Portland, OR; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
