Summer Ann Bird, 40, passed away due to natural causes at Benefis Healthcare on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Wake services will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, and will continue until her funeral service, which will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024, all at the Chief Nosey Center in Lodgepole. Burial will follow in the Wing Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Summer was born on September 14, 1983, in Fort Belknap to James and Viola (Pearson) Bird Sr. She was raised in Lodgepole, attending school there. After high school, Summer helped around the house and also helped her parents raise her little brother, Jacob. In 2013, she began a relationship with Benjamin Bear Child, and in 2021, the couple had a daughter.
Summer was a kind, bubbly, outgoing woman with a big heart who never met a stranger. She enjoyed artwork, collecting angels, yard sales, and thrift shopping. She was chatty, and loved to hold long, extensive conversations with her friends and family. She adored children, especially her beloved daughter, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Viola Bird, and her grandparents.
Summer is survived by her daughter, Neveah Bird; significant other, Benjamin Bear Child of Great Falls; father, James Bird, Sr. of Great Falls; siblings, Skye Bird, James Bird, Jr., and Jacob (Raeanna Holland) Bird, all of Great Falls; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
