Steven Jay Gray Boy "Gray Boy" Xoda Hokshina, 36, began his journey to the other side on December 29, 2023 in Great Falls, Montana. He was born July 15,1987 in Havre, MT to Charylis Gray Boy and David Begay. Steven grew up in Fort Belknap attending Harlem Public Schools, graduating in 2006. Spent a lot of time in Rocky Boy with his maternal grandparents and family. Steven was the late Charles and Caroline Gray Boy's baby.

Steven played basketball throughout elementary and high school, attending college at Aaniiih Nakoda College, Stone Child College, and Salish Kootenai College. Steven was an amazing singer and spent most of his time traveling to powwows, "hitting the trail". He began singing at a young age and continued throughout his life until his passing, as a member of Assiniboine Cree and Gray Boy Singers drum groups. Steven was well known throughout Indian Country for his beautiful voice and was a champion round dance singer wherever he went. He had friends and family across the United States and was always welcomed with open arms.

You could often find Steven gambling, terrorizing his little sister, or spending time with his family and friends. Steven was a very loving person, the "Jolly Cree Giant" he'd jokingly call himself. He would randomly show up at his various family members' homes to hang out for a few days while making round dance songs. Steven was always celebrating life with positive energy and thoughts. He was constantly joking around and laughing.

He is survived by his father David (Charlene) Begay, sisters, Leilani Stewart,  Nakota (Cory) Begay, & Janis Begay. His two children, Charolette Gray Boy and Braylon Big Hair. His adopted parents, Darcy and Clover Anaquod. Family: Edith Gray Boy, Winston (Amy) Stewart, Bryan Stewart, Charles (Pearl) Gray Boy, Kristie (Wes) Gray Boy, Charlie Gray Boy, Curtis (Debra) Gray Boy, Chelsea (Jordan) Hale, Oscar Gray Boy, Wesley Gray Boy, Stephanie Gray Boy, Darlene Gray Boy, Alice Gray Boy, Caroline Gray Boy, Lyndon "Buddy" Buffalo, Felecia (Tim) Parker, Aaron (Shaundeen) Buffalo, Jordana Bear, Marvin (Lee) Grayboy, Latasha (Brian) Azure, Blake (Laurencine) Gray Boy, Anthony Gray Boy, Logan Stifarrm,  Reese Grayboy, RJ Gray Boy,  Jason Belcourt, Cedric Belcourt. Paternal grandmother Shirley Smiley, Paternaly aunts and uncles Kevin, Ruben, Will and Deandra Smiley.

Numerous nieces and nephews, extended powwow family, singing brothers & lifelong friends he's met along the powwow trail.

He was preceeded in death by his Mother Charylis Gray Boy, Uncle Lyndon Gray Boy, siblings: Joshephine Youngman, Tristen Gray Boy, Bucking Horse Gray Boy, maternal grandparents Charles Gray Boy Sr and Caroline Writing Bird.
