Stephanie Rita Small, Thunderbird Woman (Pi-ye-so-ow Is-kwew), 42, was called home on May 14, 2026, of natural causes. Wake services will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, and will continue until her funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, all at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Box Elder with Pastor Marvin Russette officiating. Burial will follow in the Eagleman Family Cemetery.
Stephanie was born in Havre, Montana, on September 10, 1983, to Karen Small and Glenn Eagleman, Sr. She was raised in Havre, attending Havre High School. Soon after high school, she met Jordan Windy Boy and the couple began a 20-year relationship. Together they had 9 children. They later separated but remained friends. For the majority of her life, Stephanie worked as a housekeeper in motels. The remainder of her time was spent raising her children and caring for her home and Jordan.
Stephanie was a loving mother who enjoyed listening to music, especially 80's rock and 90's rap, going for cruises, and spending time with her family, chatting, and reminiscing about the old days. She also enjoyed socializing at the casinos and writing letters to friends. She was certain in her decisions, and if she liked you, you knew. Friends and Ghost Adventures were her favorite shows.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Eagleman, Sr.; brother, Jason Eagleman; and adopted mother, Loretta Spotted Bird.
Stephanie is survived by her children, JaiAnn Windy Boy and Neveah Windy Boy, both of Rocky Boy, Jordan (Passion Longee) Windy Boy, Jr. of Great Falls, Artiya and Jaylon Windy Boy, both of Missoula, Dyllan Windy Boy of Great Falls, Ashlyn Windy Boy of Missoula, and Hunter and Ryder Windy Boy, both of Great Falls; 3 grandchildren, LyNita and Malachi Willeto, Koda Windy Boy; her children's father, Jordan Windy Boy, Sr., of Butte; her mother, Karen Small of Havre; her grandmother, Elaine Small of Missoula; her sisters, Carolyn Night of Kalispell, Glenda Eagleman of Great Falls, Anita Eagleman of Washington, and Theresa Small of Great Falls; her brother, Glenn Kevin Eagleman, Jr. of Rocky Boy; her grandmother, Elaine Small of Missoula; her aunts, Marjorie Walker of Hays, Edna Ball of Fort Belknap, and Elizabeth Eagleman of Billings; and the Walkers of Hays Montana.
