Shirley Ann Meyers, 65, passed away due to natural causes at her Duck Creek residence on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. Wake services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, and funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2020, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Meyers Family Cemetery on Duck Creek. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Shirley was born on March 8, 1955, in Havre to Gilbert and Irene (Swan) Belcourt. She was raised in Rocky Boy, attending school in Box Elder. On February 14, 1972, Shirley married David J. Meyers, Sr., and the couple had five children, whom they raised on Duck Creek. Over the years, Shirley worked in the cafeteria for the Rocky Boy schools, as a housekeeper at the Rocky Boy Clinic, and most recently as a medical records clerk at the clinic.
She enjoyed beading, crossword puzzles, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son David J. Meyers, Jr.; parents, Gilbert and Irene Belcourt; sisters, Darlene Freeman and Marie Saltzmen; and brothers, Johnny Saltzmen, and Martin and Gilbert Belcourt.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 48 years, David J. Meyers, Sr. of Rocky Boy; daughters, Sophie (JP Sandberg) Meyers of Rocky Boy; sons, Larry (Lenajo), Jason (Terri), and Richard Meyers, all of Rocky Boy; eighteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Carla (John) Striker of Box Elder, Roberta Randall of Billings, Vera (Glen) Lack of Polson, and Irene (Zeke) Parisian of Box Elder; brothers, Harley (Darlene) and Richard (Robin) Belcourt, all of Missoula, Marvin Belcourt of Box Elder, and George Belcourt of Missoula; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
