Sheryce Theresa Longknife, 24, passed away at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls on Monday, March 6, 2023. Wake services will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023, and will continue until her funeral service, which will be at 11:00 a/p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2023, all at the Fort Belknap Community Center. Burial will follow at the John Strike residence on 3 Mile. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Sheryce was born on December 15, 1998, in Havre to Dennis Longknife, Jr. and Michelle Lee (DeMarrias) Speak Thunder. She was raised in the Harlem area, attending school in Harlem. Sheryce graduated from Harlem High School in 2017, and attended BIA Water Resource Training in Tucson, AZ, from which she received her certificate as a Water Resources Technician. She gave birth to her son, Joshai Longknife in 2018, and she absolutely adored him.
Sheryce was an outgoing young woman who was a member of the National Honor Society and played volleyball and tennis in high school. She enjoyed traveling, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed pretty much any outdoor activity. Sheryce loved spending time with her friends and relatives, especially her young son.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Michelle DeMarrias Speak Thunder; brother, Ron Tyler Speak Thunder; grandparents, Margaret Strike, Dennis Longknife, Sr., and Winona (Snow) Gives; aunt, Chrissy Longknife; uncle, Joseph Strike; and cousin, Janika Doney.
Sheryce is survived by her son, Joshai Dennis Kwayde Longknife; father, Dennis C. Longknife, Jr. of Havre; stepfather, Ron Speak Thunder; sisters, Jerilyn Longknife of El Reno, OK, Dominique Longknife of Billings, and Jessica DeMarrias Speak Thunder and Sarah Speak Thunder, both of Fort Belknap; aunts, Cheryl (Manny) Longknife-Morales, Carrie, Carol (Will), and Cheryl Stiffarm, Avis M. Ball, Debbie Jackson, and Rochelle, "Rocky" Strike; uncles, Jeffrey (Jessica) Stiffarm, Edward Longknife, Jr., and Donald (Linda) Longknife; cousins, Joshalyn Morales, Carmen Morales, Chelsea Morales, Carlos Morales, and Julia Morales; grandmothers, Barbara Longknife and Carmen (Dale) Jackson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends, including the Longknife, Snow, and Horn families.
