Sharon L. Rowe, 61, of Helena, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, in a motor vehicle accident south of Big Sandy. Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be held at a later date. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Sharon was born on June 8, 1955, in Scobey, Montana, to Howard and Delores (VanCuren) Long. She was raised in Malta, attending St. Mary's Catholic School and Malta High School. Following her school years, Sharon worked for Wal-Mart Corporation opening new stores all over the country. She settled in Helena in 2005, and worked as the training coordinator there until her retirement in November of 2015. Sharon married Denny Rowe, Jr. in 2009, and the couple remained in Helena, caring for their pup, Toby.
Sharon was a Facebook aficionado, and word games were her specialty, especially Scrabble. She loved Toby and flowers, and doted on her grandchildren, whom she adored. Sharon's personality was that of a caretaker, and her smile was radiant and infectious.
She was preceded in death by her uncle Bill Knight; and her grandparents Bruce and Dora Long.
Sharon is survived by her husband Denny Rowe, Jr., of Helena; her children, Amie (Dave) Allison of Cut Bank, Tricia (Steve) Tavary of Kaiser, OR, Rachel (Billy) Ringer-Tavary of Bend, OR, Denny (Paige) Rowe, III of Corvallis, OR, and Cassie (Brent) Rowse of San Antonio, TX; her eleven grandchildren; her parents Howard and Delores Long of Malta; her siblings, Jeff (Elaine) Long of Wolf Point, Wesley Long of Helena, and Marion (Joe) Peigneux of Malta; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
