Obituary

With deep sadness, we announce SanDee Larson passed away from natural causes on July 1, 2026, at Northern Montana Hospital in Havre, Montana.

SanDee was born on August 26th, 1947, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, to Robert and Opal Pilgrim. She spent her childhood in Minnesota, where she developed a love for horses and treasured summers at the family cabin on the lake. She later made Montana her home, where she built a life centered on family, hard work, and life's simple joys.

She married Mark Larson on June 10th, 1972, and together they shared 54 years of marriage, creating a lifetime of memories.

SanDee was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Opal Pilgrim; two sisters, Betty Bartz and Roxy Bauchman; brother, Gayle Beecher and beloved daughter, Rachel Larson.

She is survived by her husband, Mark; her daughters, Rebecca Olson and Renea (Craig) Rangell; her four grandchildren, Miranda Lynn Olson, Kaitlynn (Duane) Olson, Matthew Olson and Ava Rangell; her two great-grandchildren, Tristen and Maddie Woods; along with nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

For 33 years, SanDee was a dedicated employee at Herberger's Department Store, where she eventually retired. Customers and coworkers alike may remember the unforgettable sight of a tiny woman briskly walking through the store with an oversized ladder in tow, always on her way to help someone or tackle the next task. It was a perfect reflection of her hardworking spirit, determination, and quiet strength.

Outside of work, SanDee found happiness tending her flower garden and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether sharing stories, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying everyday moments together, those times filled her heart and created treasured memories that will live on for generations.

In keeping with her wishes, the family will honor her life privately, and no formal funeral or memorial service will be held. Her family suggests memorial donations in her honor be made to any cancer institute, your local animal shelter or rescue center. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
