Sandra Clark, 60, passed away due to natural causes at her residence on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. She will return home to Canada, and wake services will begin on Friday, January 22, 2021. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021, all at the Jim Louis residence. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements in the US, and Serenity Funeral Home in Wetaskiwin is handling arrangements in Canada.
Sandra was born on April 9, 1960, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to Jim and Susan (Strongman) Louis. She was raised in Maskwacis, attending school at Montana Day School, Ermineskin School, and Ponoka Composite and Nipisihkopahk High Schools. On January 27, 1993, Sandra married Michael J. Clark in Samson, and the couple first made their home in Maskwacis, moving to Montana in 2004. Sandra worked for Samson Housing, Stone Child College Daycare, and the Northern Winz Casino. She recently returned to school at Stone Child College and was nearly done with her Associate's Degree in computer science.
Sandra was a happy woman, always smiling, who adored her family and cherished time with her children and grandchildren. She was very outgoing, making friends from strangers everywhere. She was proud of the home she and her husband had, and could always be found cleaning if she wasn't busy with anything else. Sandra enjoyed gambling, especially the game "Hot and Hotter". In her early years, she played in the marching band for school, played all types of sports, and traveled to Europe, backpacking across France, Germany, and Holland. She was a traditional woman, who followed her culture, and she loved to Fancy Dance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Susan Louis; sisters, Lily, Elise, Amy, Margaret, and Justine; brother George; and nephews, Lester, Earl and Leonard.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Michael Clark of Rocky Boy; daughters, Michelle, Rae Lynn, Jennilee, Tennielle, Tiffany, Bailee, and Morningstar Louis-Clark; son, Kaysen Louis-Clark; eight grandchildren; sisters, Gloria and Helen Louis; brother Kenny "K.J." Louis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and many friends.
