Obituary

Ronald Bruce "McGuyver" "Ronnie Mac" McDowell, (Porcupine), 65, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at his residence due to natural causes.  Wake services will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, all at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in the Box Elder Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

McGuyver was born on July 1, 1957, in Long Beach, CA, to Harold "Mac" and Julia (Demontiney) McDowell.  He was raised in Harbour City, CA, until the family moved to Laredo in 1969.  Just a year later, they relocated once again, this time to Box Elder, where the kids attended school.  Following his high school years, McGuyver began working as a carpenter, and he worked in Arizona, Nevada, and Montana until his health required him to slow down.  He married marcia Morsette in 1985, and the couple later divorced although they remained together as best friends and companions.

McGuyver enjoyed playing the machines, playing his guitar and singing, listening to country music, and spending time with his friends and family.  He had just recently begun jewelry making.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Julia McDowell; and his siblings, Edward Dreamer, Wayne "Insane" Murphy, Audie Murphy, Robert McDowell, and Roxanna (Murphy) Doney.

McGuyver is survived by his children, Taj Riotutar of Rocky Boy, Pete Torres, Jr. of Box Elder, and Michelle Torres of Billings; ten grandchildren; best friend and companion, Marcia McDowell of Rocky Boy; siblings, Joseph (Lucy) Murphy of Jamez, NM, Roberta (Jason) Smith of Haysville, KS, and Rowena McDowell of Box Elder; aunts, Ella Jean Demontiney-Morales of San Diego, CA, and Suda McDowell of CA: uncles, Varnell, Warren, and Stanley McDowell, all of CA; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
