Ronald Anderson, 53, of Rocky Boy, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the Northern Montana Care Center. Wake services will be held at Rocky Boy Lutheran Church on Thursday, July 5, with funeral services being held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012, with Earl Arkinson officiating. Burial will be in the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Ronald was born in Fort Belknap on May 12, 1959, to George and Queen (Indian) Anderson. He was raised in Rocky Boy, attending Rocky Boy Elementary School. He obtained his GED through Northern Montana College and Clearfield, Utah, and obtained his certificate in marketing and business through SIPI in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ronald worked as a C.N.A., a caretaker, and cook, and enjoyed talking about genealogy, and the history of the Chippewa-Cree culture. He liked Indian arts and crafts, reading, and participating in leisure activities with his family and friends. Ronald was a member of the Native American Church, holding fast to his Native American beliefs, and the Lutheran Church. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, and his three brothers. He is survived by his sisters Evelyn (Francis) Eagleman, Valerie (Bruce) Sunchild, Vernice Anderson, Karen Anderson, Tanya (William) Anderson, and Barbara (Jeff) Anderson; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.
