Roger Nordrum, 62, of Havre, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015, at Northern Montana Care Center of natural causes. Roger was born on May 7, 1953, in Crookston, MN, to Arnold and Lorraine (Olson) Nordrum. When he was a toddler, the family relocated to Montana and farmed near Gilford for a couple of years, before relocating to Havre. Roger attended school in Havre, graduating from Havre High School in 1971. During high school, Roger wrestled for the varsity team and was a Babe Ruth All-Star. Following high school, he participated in Motocross from 1975 to 1977. Roger began working for Brandon Floor Coverings immediately out of high school, and worked for them laying tile and carpet for many years. After he left Brandon's, he continued to perform the same work independently for many more years. Roger loved playing baseball, softball, and riding in Motocross. He was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan, watching them play at every opportunity. He also anticipated elk hunting with White Horse Packing Company every year. Spending time with his family and friends, storytelling, and playing pranks also numbered highly under his favorite pastimes. He was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Lorraine Nordrum, and several aunts, uncles, and other close relatives. Roger is survived by his siblings, Gary (Lynne) Nordrum of Bayview, ID, Sandy (Bob) O'Leary and Keith (Janet) Nordrum, all of Havre, Shelly (Tim) Hauge of Odessa, WA, and Shannon (Karl) Verploegen of Havre; his 10 nieces and nephews; his 15 great-nieces and -nephews; and numerous beloved cousins.
