Robert A. "Bob" Schaub, 71, passed away due to natural causes at River's Edge Assisted Living in Great Falls on Thursday, November 16, 2023. Cremation has taken place.  His memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday December 4, 2023, at Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel.  Memorial donations in Robert's honor may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church or to the donor's choice.

Bob was born on April 5, 1952, in Havre to Henry L. and Mary Ann (Hayden) Schaub.  He was raised in Have, graduating from Havre High School in 1970.  Soon after, he moved to Ames, Iowa, to attend trade school where he received his lineman training.  Bob then returned to Havre, where he worked for REA until a motor vehicle accident caused a brain injury that prevented him from returning to his lineman responsibilities.  For the next several years, he worked hard to recover, and in 1980, Bob entered the US Army, serving until his honorable discharge, after which he returned to Havre once more.  There he worked odd jobs until his brain injury left him totally disabled.

In his early years, Bob really enjoyed the high jump in high school track.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and pretty much any outdoor activity.  Bob was a helpful, giving man who would be available if anyone needed help.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry L. Schaub.

Bob is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Schaub of Havre; siblings, Dan (Marion) Schaub and Kathy Kirby, all of Havre, and Laura (Tim) Corbett of Boise, ID; and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
