November 27, 1961 – December 5, 2021
Robert James "Bobby" Briere, Jr., 60, passed away at his Box Elder residence due to natural causes on Sunday, December 5, 2021. Wake services will begin at 3:00 p.m. and his Rosary being held at 7:00 p.m., both on Monday, December 6, 2021. Bobby's funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. All services will take place at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Rocky Boy Cemetery next to his beloved sister. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Bobby was born on November 27, 1961, in Fort Belknap to Robert "Mickey" and Pauline (St. Marks) Briere, Sr. The family spent the first couple of years in Chinook before moving to Box Elder, where Bobby attended school. He began working with his dad in construction at the age of 13. In 1981, he met MaDonna Swank, and in 1983, the couple married. Bobby worked for Blaze Construction from 1986 until 1990, when he, his dad, his brother, and his cousin began their company, Kin Construction. He and his family worked locally, as well as in Nevada and Washington.
Bobby was a kind, generous man who loved his family, especially his daughter and granddaughter. He adored his seven dogs, and spent much of his time camping and hiking in the mountains, cooking, and watching football, especially his beloved Chicago Bears.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline, and sister, Marsha Grimwood.
Bobby is survived by his wife, MaDonna Briere of Box Elder; Tysha (Charles Tail Feathers, Jr.) Swank of Box Elder; grandchildren, Taleah "The Punk" Swank and Jacen Corcoran; father, Robert "Mickey" Briere, Sr. of Box Elder; brothers, Ronnie and Burke Briere of Box Elder; godchildren, Shane Sangrey, Nikki Grimwood, Tia Ward, Santana Wells, and Josh Sangrey; furbabies, Ginger, Lady, Bizz, Keeper-Man, Rufus, Frosty, and One-Spot; and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
