Reatha Jean
Henderson
July 11, 1951 – January 25, 2021
Reatha J. Henderson, 69, passed away due to natural causes at her Chinook residence on Monday, January 25, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at the Blaine County Funeral Chapel located at the old Seventh Day Adventist Church in Chinook. Reatha’s family has suggested memorial donations be made in memory of her late husband to the Montana Chapter of the American Cancer Society, 1903 Central Ave., Billings, MT 59102, or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Blaine County Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with services and arrangements.
Reatha was born on July 11, 1951, in Rushville, IN, to William and Billie (Douglas) Parsons. She was raised in Olive Hill where she attended school. Reatha had two children from her first marriage, and met Jim Henderson in 1985 in Havre. The couple married in 1991. They did not have any children together, but they adored their fur babies as though they were their children. Reatha loved her life with Jim on the ranch in the Bear Paws until his death in 2014, when she moved to Chinook.
She enjoyed sewing, shed hunting, and gopher hunting, but Reatha really loved to quilt. It was her favorite pastime. She also enjoyed her weekly coffee and Irish Cream with those close to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Henderson; great-grandson, Keiontae Hill; parents, William and Billie Parsons; sister Diana Parsons; and aunts, Doris and Rhea.
Reatha is survived by her children, Tamela Stamper of Chinook and Rick Stamper of South Carolina; three grandchildren, Morgan and Kelsey Mathon and Alyssa Stamper; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl Ray (Phyllis) Parsons, Roger Dale Parsons, and Rocky Parsons; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
