Rachel J. Kleinsasser, 87, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.  Funeral services will begin at 11:30 on Saturday, July 24, 2021, in the Hidden Valley Colony church.  Burial will follow in the Hidden Valley Colony Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Rachel was born on November 15, 1933, to John and Katrina Kleinsasser, the fifth of eight children, and was raised on various colonys before moving to Sage Creek Colony in 1960.  She remained there until three years ago, when she moved to Hidden Valley Colony.  Rachel was a kindergarten teacher for many years.  She loved flowers and the outdoors.  For the past few years, her health was failing, but she was able to care for herself.  She adored children, her nieces and nephews most specifically, and she loved to sing and read, always keeping good books around her.  Rachel was a loving woman who will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings except for her brother Sam (Anna) Kleinsasser of Hidden Valley, her sister-in-law, Susie Kleinsasser of Hidden Valley, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
