Obituary

Paul Flores, Jr., 57, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls.  Wake services will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with Earl "Archie" Arkinson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Warrior's Burial Grounds Veterans Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Paul was born on January 10, 1964, in Toppenish, WA, to Paul and Connie (Oats) Flores, Sr.  He was raised in Toppenish until his teens, when the family moved to Rocky Boy.  There, he graduated from Box Elder High School, and entered the US Army, serving until his honorable discharge.  Paul received his Associate of Arts degree in natural resources from Stone Child College.

He was a carpenter by trade, and spent most of his life working with his hands, leaving a part of himself in the many buildings and homes in which he worked, such as Stone Child College and the Natoose Rocky Boy Clinic.  He loved children, and they loved him.  He was so proud of all of his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and cherished their accomplishments.  Paul enjoyed the outdoors and loved to capture different landscapes.  Fishing was one of his favorite hobbies.  He lived an adventurous life in many places throughout his life with his family and friends.  Every one of them has a "Paul" story.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his best dog pal, Missy.  Paul is survived by his wife, Ida Ahenakew of Rocky Boy; daughter, Nicole Parisian of Denver; son, Austin Valencia of Rocky Boy; grandchildren, Edward and Zane Blatt of Denver, Kendrick and Randall Valencia of Great Falls, and Annonie Valencia of Rocky Boy; sisters, Natalie Flores and Michelle (Troy) Sangrey-Henderson, all of Rocky Boy, and Delia (Daniel McNey) Flores of Albuquerque, NM; stepdad, Richard Sangrey of Rocky Boy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends in Washington, Oregon, California, and Rocky Boy.
