Patsy Ann
Horne
August 18, 1940 – September 22, 2024
Patsy A. (Robbins) Horne, 84, passed away due to natural causes at her residence on Sunday, September 22, 2024. Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Community Alliance Church with Pastor Munya Takawira officiating. Burial will follow with her beloved Bobby in Highland Cemetery. Patsy's family has suggested memorial donations be made in her memory to the Feed My Sheep Soup Kitchen or the Community Alliance Church. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.
Patsy was born on August 18, 1940, in Glasgow, Montana, to Merritt and Nellie (Crane) Robbins, the youngest of 8 children. She was raised in Glasgow, attending school there. In 1957, Patsy met a young airman, and whirlwind courtship ensued. She and Bobby Horne married in 1958, and they moved with their ever-increasing family as Bobby's duty stations changes. In 1974, Bobby retired and the family moved from Virginia to Nashua, Montana. They moved to Havre in 1977, and Patsy worked at various jobs over the years while the kids were in school. In 1984, she felt led to begin a soup kitchen. She wanted to start it in the family's Econoline van, but her pastor helped her obtain the building that Feed My Sheep is currently in. Patsy served as their director for many years, retiring in 1995.
When she was younger, Patsy enjoyed oil painting. She loved to walk and ride her bike. She was an excellent cook, and enjoyed making her "famous fudge" for her family. She was a very family-oriented lady who adored her children, grandchildren, and especially the great-grandchildren she had been blessed with. Patsy possessed an unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This faith enabled her to handle the day-to-day struggles of life and the more difficult situations of illness and loss of family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Horne, Sr. in April; son, Baby Horne; grandson, Bobby Horne, III, in March; parents, Merritt and Nellie Robbins; and siblings, Bob Robbins, Mary Hanson, and Gene, Don, and Arnie Robbins.
Patsy is survived by her children, Nanette (Gale) Gabriel of Havre, Todd (Robin) Horne of North Carolina, Bobby Horne, Jr. of Havre, John (Leanna) Horne of Idaho, Anjanette (Mark) Kinna of Havre, and Rebecca Chinadle of Idaho; twenty-three grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Swaggerty of Vancouver, WA, and Betty Fuhrman of Spokane, WA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
