Patty was born June 16, 1953 in Havre to Ernest and Bernice (Dabelow) Pollington. She was raised in Kremlin and on the family farm outside of Kremlin. She attended schools in Kremlin, and was a member of the first graduating class of KG High School in 1972. She attended Northern Montana College and obtained her cosmetology certificate. She married Charlie Nordrum in 1973. Patty worked as a cosmetologist in Gildford, as well as teacher's aide and bus driver for KG school for a few years before she and Charlie moved to Whitefish in 1983. In Whitefish she and Charlie owned and operated the Valley Inn until 1996 when they moved to Columbia Falls, where they owned the Bandit for a few years. Patty began working in quilting stores in the Flathead Valley where she found her passion. When the couple decided to retire, they moved to Havre in the fall of 2011 to be near family.
Patty enjoyed the outdoors, tending to her beautiful flowers, fossil hunting, camping, fishing, going to Fresno and reading. She loved children of all ages and her nieces and nephews held a very special place in her heart. Her hobbies included quilting and sewing. She was a talented craftswoman, and was very involved in her church and their volunteer activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Bernice Pollington, and one sister Mary Larson.
Patty is survived by her husband Charlie Nordrum of Havre; sisters Bonnie Mosbrucker and Gail Pollington, both of Havre; brother Dick (Sharon) Pollington of Kremlin; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends, including her special niece Brenna Larson and her special nephew Kristopher Larson.
