Pamela Kay Geboe Doney, 56, passed away due to natural causes on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Northern Montana Hospital. Her Indian name was "Pretty Woman" - Hiiseiht Hesei. A one day wake will be held on Wednesday, August 24th at the Rocky Boy Catholic Church, then on Thursday, August 25th she will be taken to the Mission Rec. Center in Hays, Montana for a two night wake, with her funeral to follow at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016. Burial will follow in the family cemetery in Hays, Montana. Pamela "Pam" Kay Geboe Doney was born in Casper, Wyoming on October 22, 1959 to Robert Geboe, Jr. and Elsie Leah (Belcourt) Geboe. She was raised in Casper, Wyoming until she was about 10 years old, and the family moved to Rocky Boy, Montana. Pam attended Box Elder High School and Riverside High School in Oklahoma. She then moved to Missoula Montana, where she met and married Kenny Doney. Pam an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho/Chippewa Cree tribe resided in Hays, Montana for the past 14 years. She graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelor's degree in Teachers Education, and worked for the Hays/Lodgepole School District. Pam and Kenny have four sons, Robin (Sheena) Doney, Justin (Megan) Doney, Na-tha-at "Eagle" (Tracy) Doney, and Forest (Sasha) Doney.
Pam was very creative and loved to bead. She had a flare for fashionable clothes and hair styles. She loved to read Native American books. Pam had a "Happy-Go-Lucky" personality. Her wit and humor made her fun to be around. She was also very artistic and created some of the best beadwork, medallions, and earrings. She had a great sense of humor and was a special education teacher. She loved her children and grandchildren immensely. She spent many hours with her grandchildren, buying them toys and clothes, taking them to the park and other recreational activities. Am will be missed by her many friends and relatives.
Pam was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Doney, Jr.; her father, Robert Geboe, Jr.; her mother Elsie Geboe (Belcourt); her sister Rhonda Geboe Baker; and her niece Alameda Four Souls.
Her brothers are Robert (Anna) Geboe III, and Mike (Shawna) Geboe from Rocky Boy, Montana. Her sisters are Carla Geboe, Jacqueline (Crawford) White, of Fort Washakie, Wyoming, and Anastasia Geboe, Butte, Montana, and all of her loving Arapaho family in Wyoming. Her special friends include all of the Hays Lodgepole School staff.
