Peggy was born on August 17, 1928, in her grandparent's home outside of Delevan, MN, to Lewis and Mae (Rendall) Walker. She was raised in Bagley, attending school there. In 1946, Peggy married Lloyd Horsley in Bemidji, and the couple's union was blessed with 4 children. She and her children relocated to Havre in 1960, and the couple later divorced. Peggy worked at the Great Northern Railroad station Beanery until it closed, and while there, met Emil Kampf, whom she married in 1962. Their union was blessed with the twins. Peggy worked for a short time at the 2-87 Diner and Truck Stop, before beginning her daycare, which she ran until the late 1970's. At that time, she began sewing for a living, which culminated in her ownership of The Bridal Boutique where she worked her magic talents on many prom dresses and bridal gowns. In the early 1990's, she sold the business, but her love of sewing caused her to continue sewing and doing alterations. Peggy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed all kinds of crafts and working in her garden. A faithful member of Fifth Avenue Christian Church, she was instrumental in beginning the Blankie Blessings program. She and other members have sewn 6 to 7 thousand blankets for the newborns at Northern Montana Hospital. It was what got her out of bed on even the hardest days. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Mae Walker; her sisters Carmilla Sharp and Hazel Vipond; her brother Charles Walker; and her first husband Lloyd Horsley. She is survived by her husband Emil Kampf of Havre; her children, Allan Horsley of Bagley, MN, Arlyne (Mark) Chvilicek and Annette Horsley, of Havre, Alton "Rocky" (Summer) Horsley of Glen, MT, and Jill (Lyle) Miller and Jack Kampf, of Havre; her fourteen grandchildren; her twenty-four great-grandchildren; her daughters-in-law, Dianne Horsley of Bagley, MN, and Paula Hunthausen of East Helena; her son-in-law Tom Heninger of Havre; her siblings, James (Nevina) Walker and Odonna Ziegler(Milo Anderson) of Bagley, MN, Opal Boisjolie of Andover, MN, Delores Saul of Warroad, MN, and Alton Walker (Adeline Wooliscoft) of Bagley, MN; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
