Nancy M. Waltari, 69, of Havre, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at her residence of natural causes. Nancy was born on September 3, 1945, in Great Falls to Malcolm and Marie (Bistodeau) Marshall. She was raised in Great Falls, graduating from Great Falls High School in 1963. Nancy married Jerry Waltari on August 8, 1964, and the couple's union was blessed with two beloved sons. Nancy worked for many years at Maranatha Christian Book Store before purchasing it. She operated the book store for 8 years before selling it to spend more time with family. Nancy was an outgoing, vibrant woman, who loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved reading, knitting, collecting dolls and carousel horses. Nancy loved teaching the skill of knitting to 4-H clubs for several years, and volunteered at Lincoln McKinley School for 15 years listening to 2nd graders read. Nancy served in many capacities in the Woman's Aglow Christian Organization. Nancy was active in the HELP program which supported groups for teens that needed a listening ear. Her Christian life included many facets like teaching bible studies, active church involvement, and a personal one-on-one ministry of caring and helping others. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Malcolm and Marie Marshall. She is survived by Jerry Waltari, her beloved husband of almost 51 years, of Havre; her sons Casey (Shantel) Waltari of Cody, WY, and Scott (Kandee) Waltari of Auburn, WA; her grandchildren, Mishayla, Jeron & Jazlyn Waltari; her sister Del (Jerry) Chapman of Scottsdale, AZ, their children Paige(Jay) Daniels, Carter(Robin) Chapman, and Tyler (Katie) Chapman and their children; and her sisters-in-law, Tari (Bill) Steinmetz of Tulsa, OK, Carol Dustin, Bette (Curt) Shumaker, and Sheryl (Chuck) Hopkins, all of Great Falls and their children and grandchildren. Nancy's family has requested that memorials be made to Alzheimer's Research, to the Havre Assembly of God Church, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
