Obituary

Nancy Marie Meyers-Barkus, “White Thunder Woman”, 56, passed away due to natural causes at her residence on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Wake services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, and will continue until her funeral service, which will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026, all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the New Rocky Boy Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. 

Nancy was born on March 8, 1970, in Havre to John Edwin Meyers and Ann Houle Meyers. She was raised in Rocky Boy, attending school there. Following her school years, she had several children, and over the years she worked various jobs. More recently, she was forced to retire due to health reasons.

Nancy was an incredibly outgoing woman with a big heart and a beautiful smile. She was very protective and a fantastic storyteller who really enjoyed coloring.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edwin Meyers and Annie Houle, and brothers, Justin Cody and Nevada Blue Meyers.

Nancy is survived by her children, Raymond and Waylon LaMere of Rocky Boy, Tamika Miller of Illinois, Acyonna Sponsler of Havre, Heidi Contrerez and River Meyers, both of Arizona, Elijah Hay of Havre, and Elianna Hay of Rocky Boy; six grandchildren; brothers, Steven Parker of Havre, Jason Meyers of Rocky Boy, and Colby Potts of Canada; stepmother, Ivy Meyers of Rocky Boy; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
