Miley Marie Sunchild, Sweetgrass Woman, 51, passed away at her Spokane residence on Friday, January 9, 2026.  Wake services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, and will continue until her funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with Kelly Eagleman officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Rocky Boy Cemetery.  Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Miley was born on July 9, 1974, in Havre to Billy LaMere and Cindy Sunchild.  She was raised in Rocky Boy and then Havre, graduating from Havre High School in 1992.  There she had her two sons, and in the late 90's she and her youngest moved to Great Falls and then to Spokane, Washington, while her oldest remained in Rocky Boy.  Miley loved living in Spokane.  There she worked for many years as a barista with dreams of opening her own coffee stand one day.

Miley was a friendly, outgoing woman who enjoyed cooking, especially holiday dinners, and socializing at the Northern Quest Casino, but she took shopping to a new level.  She was a loving woman who was always smiling.  Miley's grandchildren were the light of her life, and she loved to spend time with them, especially watching movies.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Mariah Sunchild; brother, Adrian Sutherland; sister, Richelle Morrow; grandparents, Ned and Theresa (Houle) Sunchild, Josephine St. Marks, and Victor LaMere; and numerous aunts and uncles.

Miley is survived by her children, Dorian Sunchild of Rocky Boy, and Darrian (Cheyanne Runge) Sunchild of Spokane; grandchildren, Darrian Junior, Kash, Kaison, Kylo and Ramiah Sunchild; parents, Cindy Sunchild of Spokane and Billy (Caryn Sangrey) LaMere of Rocky Boy; siblings, Ryan (Roberta Marceau) Sutherland of Spokane, Jenny Morrow, Shey and Tessie LaMere, both of Rocky Boy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
