Michelle Dawn Harris Overlie, 59, died at her home in Chester, Montana on Thursday, March 28, 2024. Her wake service will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 30th and will continue through Sunday with her funeral service 10 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2024, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Chaplin GB Meyers and Darin Whitford co-officiating. Her burial will follow at the Meyers Family Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her son Ryan Valdez. Michelle was born November 20, 1964, in Havre, Montana to Judy (Meyers) and Louis Sutherland. She was raised and educated in Havre and obtained her GED. When she was a young girl, she was adopted by Michael Badgley Sr. who raised her as his own. Michelle enjoyed people and had many friends. After high school she attended college classes at Northern Montana College.  She married Henry Charles Valdez Sr. and together they had three sons: Henry, Ryan and Tyler. The couple later divorced. She married Jim Harris and they later divorced. She met Ron Overlie and the couple married June 11, 2022.

She was a loving mother to her three boys. She suffered with medical issues from a young age with diabetes that was difficult to manage and numerous other medical issues. This prevented her from going out and about and lately her life revolved around doctor's appointments and being home watching t.v. and spending time with her husband Ron.

She loved animals especially her dog, Rye.

She was preceded in death by her father Louis Sutherland, son Ryan Valdez in 2007 and sister Monica Campbell in 2010.

Michelle is survived by her husband Ron Overlie, her sons; Henry (Elaine Rose Healy-Berger) Valdez and Tyler Valdez.  Her parents Michael and Judy Badgley Sr., brother Michael (Lori) Badgley, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
