Michael Gerrard Spinler, 51, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014. His funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene with Pastor John Powell officiating. Holland and Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements. Michael was born on March 21, 1962 to Gilbert and Martha (Duncan) Spinler. He was raised in Havre; attending Havre High School. He obtained his GED in Bedford, TX. Michael married Maria Maroudas in Minneapolis, MN in 1980. The couple returned to Havre in 1981, where they raised their children. The couple later divorced. Mike worked in the janitorial department at Havre High School and Northern Montana College before opening his business, Spinler Maintenance, where he continued his janitorial work as a self- employed individual. Mike injured his back and sold the business in 2005. Mike enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and restoring cars, but his family was his life. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Gil Spindella. He is survived by his mother, Martha Ameline; his foster father, Ken Hewitt; his daughter, Nicole Spinler; his sons, Chad Spinler, Michael (Kati Fortson) Spinler, and Tyler Travis; all of Havre; his godson, Shawn Williams of Great Falls; his grandchildren, Tray and Mackenzie Williams of Havre; sisters, Cathy (Pat) Reichert of Billings, MT, Debora (Bruce) McCracken of Great Falls, MT,and Danette (Joe) Zeliniak of Seattle, WA; brothers, Tim (Rose) Spinler of Hallsville, TX, Gilbert (Carol) Spinler, Jr. of Great Falls, Robert Spinler (Donna) of Livingston, MT, and Joseph Spinler of Belgrade, MT; uncle, Victor Spinler of Havre; and numerous nieces and nephews.
