Michael "Señor" Scott

Mike passed peacefully at home in Havre, MT, February 15, 2022. We will be celebrating his life with a Fiesta at Boxcars this Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at 1ish. Born in Roundup, MT to the Gilbert family. He was given up for adoption at a young age and was adopted by WW "Mike" and Betty Scott of Plains, MT. Thus began his adventures of life as the son of a Army officer.  He spent most of his childhood in Chile, then returned to the states in high school and attended University of Montana after graduation. Then joined the army as an interpretation specialist. He then returned to California to further his education and there met his soon to be wife, Helen Glass. They were soon married and raised 2 daughters together. She was known as Scotty by most. He again returned to U of M and received his teaching certification. He became the Spanish teacher in Havre. He was involved in school at many levels and loved his kids. He retired in 2005, but soon returned to teaching as a substitute teacher. He loved golfing, fishing, gardening and music.
He is survived by 2 daughters, a brother and sister, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
