Michael Keith Denny-Healy, Jr., Chief Golden Thunder Bird "O Key Mah O Sahw Pi Sew", 26, passed away due to natural causes at Benefis Healthcare on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Wake services will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, and will continue until his funeral service, which will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, all at Chief Cornerstone Church with Michael BlackWolf officiating. Burial will follow in the Denny Family Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Michael was born on July 29, 1998, in Havre to Michael Healy, Sr. and LaRissa Denny. He was raised in Rocky Boy, graduating from Rocky Boy High School in 2017. Michael worked as a firefighter in Basin, MT, for some time, recently returning to Havre to be near family. In 2023, he began a relationship with Jordan LaForge, and the couple remained together until his death.
Michael was an outgoing young man who enjoyed hunting and fishing, singing, and playing his video games. He was learning carpentry from his dad, and he loved to tease and joke with his family. Michael was a member of the Native American Church, and was proud of his Native American heritage.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daniel and Georgia Denny and Stella Walker and Stuart Healy; and uncles, Golden Denny, and Darrell and Darren BlackWolf.
Michael is survived by his son, Jiren Aries Denny; significant other, Jordan LaForge of Havre; parents, LaRissa (Roy Ereaux) Denny and Michael (Santee) Healy, Sr.; sisters, Darrien Denny, Aliyah Eagleman, and Janessa (Jeremiah Headdress) Eagleman; brothers, Thor Denny and Son Sun Standing Rock; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
He will be loved and missed by his family and friends.
