Michael J. "Big Mike" Corcoran, 45, passed away due to natural causes at his residence on Monday, January 6, 2020. Wake services will begin at 4:00 p.m. and a Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m., all on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with burial to follow in the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Mike was born on June 23, 1974, in Phoenix, AZ, to William and Wilma (LaMere) Corcoran. He attended school in Arizona, Nevada, Montana, and California. Following his high school years, Mike attended college and graduated from Stone Child College with an Associate Degree in psychology. Mike was a hard worker and did many things, driving taxi, bouncer, furniture delivery, casino security, and was well-known for his radio personality "Big Mike Corcoran", the voice of the Eagle on KHEW radio. Most recently, he served as a business committee member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe.

He was an outgoing, teasing man who made people laugh, but he could also be so very kind and compassionate. He was very intelligent, and used his instincts and knowledge to make people happy. Mike adored his family and his dog Bear, and was very generous with everyone around him. He enjoyed gambling and was a master gamer. Mike was a member of the Chippewa Cree Eagle Core Community Organization, Stone Child College student representative for 2014-2015, served on the board at HRDC, and was appointed to serve on the MMIW Task Force by the Governor.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Ida (Sangrey) LaMere, Sr.; paternal grandparents, William and Lily (Whitford) Corcoran; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mike is survived by his parents, William "Corky" and Wilma Corcoran of Rocky Boy; brothers, Tad LaMere, William (Heather) Corcoran II, and Raymond Corcoran, all of Rocky Boy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
