Obituary

Mary Lou Miller, 91, passed away due to natural causes at Northern Montana Hospital on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Cremation has taken place, and memorial services and a luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Marcus Williams officiating. Burial will follow the luncheon in Highland Cemetery.

Mary Lou was born on December 4, 1930, in Havre to Leonard and Irma Deen (Harding) Creamer, the second of five children. She was raised in Havre, graduating from Havre High School in 1949 with her sister, Peggy. After high school, Mary Lou worked at the Price Right Grocery for a while. She married Lowell Miller on June 24, 1951, and the couple went on to have four children, whom they raised on their family farm in Gildford. The couple relocated to Havre in 2015 when they retired.

Mary Lou enjoyed playing cards, sewing, flower gardening, reading and attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events, and she loved to go square dancing. She was involved in 4-H for many years, and served her church as a Sunday school teacher and her involvement in the Ladies' Aid Society. She was also a member of the Jolly Janes Home Demonstration Club, the Birthday Club, the Pinochle and Whist clubs, and the Gildford Mercantile Coffee Club.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Ryan Schaller; parents, Leonard and Irma Deen Creamer; and siblings, Bill, Peggy, and Florence.

Mary Lou is survived by Lowell Miller, her loving husband of 70 years, of Havre; children, Dale (Paula) Miller and Gail (Gary Kapperud) Wilson, all of Gildford, Linda (Dan) Schaller of Everett, WA, and Pauline (Dave) Stevenson of Gildford; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Rick (Jan) Creamer of Watsonville, CA; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou's family has suggested memorial donations be made in her memory to the Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Alzheimer's Association, Friends of Beaver Creek Park, or the charity of the donor's choice.
