Mary Margaret Billy was born January 30 th , 1930, in Rocky Boy Agency to Frank and Young Girl Billy.

Mary grew up in Rocky Boy, MT and attended Parker School. She was a Community Health Representative at Rocky Boy Clinic for many years. Mary enjoyed beading, singing, and dancing. She had special talents that included telling stories and watching traffic pass by. She also enjoyed watching the news and reading the newspaper. If you ever stopped by to visit, she made sure you were aware of the current news events, sometimes she would even read them to you in her own language. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and she especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in basketball, rodeo and all other sports. Mary was very proud of the fact that she earned her GED. We often teased and called her Mary Billy GED.

Mary had six children: daughters, Marilyn (Clyde) Colliflower, Thela Billy, Suzanne Billy, Annie Morsette, and Melody Henry, and one son, Leonard Billy.

Her grandchildren were Crystal Colliflower, Micheal Morsette, Stacy Knox, Clayton Morsette, Belden Frank Billy, Tessie LaMere, Jeff Henry, Aaron Henry, and Kaycee Henry. Mary had 27 great-grandchildren.

Siblings are her sister Jenny Lasalle and her brother Lloyd Billy.
