Martin L. Lee, 74, passed away due to natural causes on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Havre Community Alliance Church with Pastor Munya Takawira officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.

generally, there's a lot I can say about my father, Marty Lee, but he would probably disagree. He didn't like to talk much about himself. In fact, I remember asking my mother where he'd went one day, and she said he was having coffee with the boys. I said:

“Dad has boys?"

God, I'm still discovering where he put his footprints. He's been a Havre-ite since '52, served in the Navy during 'Nam, worked at the train station, and drove truck for years.

But I think I'll remember his devotion the most. He chased information, and had a lot of hobbies, especially fishing. To me, my happiest memories are of Blackberry Blossom lazily picked on the banjo in the Bear Paws around the fire. I decided to immortalize this by placing the strings of a banjo (gDGBD) at the beginning of these 5 paragraphs.

Dedicated to his family, he wanted the best for them. And he was just clever enough to get it, sometimes with a wily chuckle. He is survived by his wife and two children.
