Martha May Stolen, 78, passed away due to natural causes at NMH on Saturday, January 24th, 2026, with her loving husband by her side. Services begin at 1:00p.m. on Thursday, June 18th, 2026. Martha was born June 10th, 1947, in Scobey MT to Myrtle and Ernest Long at the Olson Hospital in Daniels County. Her mother later married Hans Oldenberg. She attended High School in Wolf Point, Montana, graduating in 1965. She married Rodney Adkins in 1967 and welcomed their son Brent. They later divorced in 1969.

She met Mark Stolen in Wolf Point in 1970 and started dating; they married on May 29th 1971. Later that year in November they welcomed their son Ross. After Mark graduated from college, he and Martha settled in Havre in 1973. In 1976 Martha and Mark built their house a few miles west of town, they moved in spring of 1977 and have lived there since then.

Upon moving to Havre, Martha first worked at the East Hospital as a nurse's aide until it closed, and then hired on at the newly built Northern Montana Hospital working in the ER. She later left the medical field to be with her family more. She then worked at the Sears & Roebuck store located at the west end of town for many years until the store closed. She then went to work at Office Equipment until she retired in 2012.

Martha was known for her love of all cats and sitting on the porch at home in the evenings with Mark watching the birds play in the birdbath or the bunnies playing in the front lawn. She also enjoyed the outdoors and her friends. They would pull their trailer out to the park and meet with friends for a long weekend or longer at times enjoying both.

She is survived by her loving husband Mark, children, Brent (Mandy) Adkins; grandchildren, Gavin and Haiden, (Glasgow, Montana). Ross (Jennifer) Stolen; grandchildren, Drake and Jade (Stanwood, WA). Her nieces Jerra (Wayne) Fjelstand and family, Torrie Tanzini and family and Lorrie Suppes and family.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents Myrtle (Long) Oldenberg and Earnest Long, Step Father Hans Oldenberg, Bother Earnest "Dean" Long, Nieces, Lorna (Stolen) Phelps, Connie (Stolen) Hankinson, Nephew Lyle Stolen, Bothers' in Law John and Edward (Ed) Stolen.
