Marie Hollingshead, 89, passed away of natural causes on Monday, September 19, 2016, at the Northern Montana Care Center.

Marie was born on December 16, 1926, in Havre, MT, to Winifred (Robinson) and Harvey Blair. She was raised in Havre, attending school there and graduating in 1945. Following her school years, Marie married Robert (Bob) Hollingshead on August 3, 1951 and the couple had one son. For many years, Marie worked for the US Government Farm Services Division. Following her government work, Marie worked as a bookkeeper for realtors, first for Witt Realty, and then for Northern Land Realty. She retired at the age of 75.

Marie enjoyed watching the Lawrence Welk Show, the Waltons, and Bonanza. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her great-grandson Paxton was the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob Hollingshead; her parents Harvey and Winifred Blair; and her sister-in-law Mary Blair.

Marie is survived by her son Doug (Darlene) Hollingshead of Havre; her grandchildren Kristi (Christian) Lehnert of Chinook, and Tara (Alden Moyer) Hollingshead of Havre; her great-grandchildren Paxton and Brynlee Lenhert; her sister Helen Brazil of Coeur d'Alene, ID; her brother Les Blair of Havre; and numerous nieces and nephews.
