Marge B. Johnikin, 77, passed away due to natural causes on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Sweet Memorial Nursing Home in Chinook. Cremation has taken place, and private family graveside services will be held later this year in Highland Cemetery. Marge's family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave. 7 th Floor, New York, NY 10001, or to the charity of the donor's choice. Marge was born on August 21, 1939, in Havre, Montana, to Herman and Esther (Bertrand) Weyh. She was raised in Havre, graduating from Havre High School in 1957. Upon graduation, Marge moved to Spokane, Washington, to attend Kinman Business University, where she majored in business. After receiving her certificate, she returned to Havre, where she worked as a medical billing specialist for Dr. Chinske, and Drs. Kelley & Richardson. In 1994, she relocated to San Diego, California, where she worked for Sharpe Medical Center until her retirement. Following her 2005 retirement, Marge moved to Prescott, Arizona, and returned home to Havre in 2010.
Marge was an outgoing, upbeat woman who enjoyed laughing, and who possessed a great sense of humor. She enjoyed walking, crossword puzzles, gambling, having coffee with her family and friends at Taco Johns. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas with her family and friends. One of Marge's proudest moments was pinning anchors on her son upon his selection as Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy.
She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Esther Weyh, and her sister Mary Dees.
She is survived by her son Mike Johnikin of San Diego, CA; her sisters Dorothy Foster of Scottsdale, AZ, and Frankie Cowan and Lori Ward, both of Havre; her brother Bill Weyh of Whitefish; and numerous nieces and nephews.
