HAVRE~ Margaret K. "Peggy" Thune, 72 of Havre passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family. Peggy was born March 15, 1943 in Fort Benton, Montana one of 6 children born to Walter D. & Louise (Daly) Reid. Peggy graduated high school in Fort Benton, MT. She attended cosmetology school. She met the love of her life at North Montana College and married Kenny Thune. They were married on January 23, 1965 in Great Falls, MT. To this union were born two children; their son Kenneth & daughter Mellisa. Kenny & Peggy made their home in several locations such as Great Falls, Cut Bank and on the hi-line with twenty-two years of their married life being spent in Chester, Montana. It was here that Kenny worked for the local grain elevator and Peggy managed the MX Motel and Jack & Jill's Convenience store. They eventually retired in Havre. Peggy is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Kenny Thune of Havre, MT; her son Kenneth Thune of Hingham, MT; her daughter Mellisa Thune-Hemminger (John) of Havre; granddaughter KasSaundra (Travis) Franklin of Havre, MT; 3 great granddaughters; brother and sister-in-law Walter and Karen Reid of Fort Benton, MT; sister Betty & Tom Michel of Dutton, MT; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place in the care of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home of Havre. Private family committal will take place at a later date.
