Margaret was born on October 11, 1931 in Havre, to Chris and Albertine Reum. She was raised in Kremlin, and graduated from Kremlin High School. That same month, she married Frank "Bud" Goodian. The couple had one son, and later divorced. She was the only girl to all of her aunts and inherited quite the collection of antique dishes and jewelry. She was a homemaker, and thoroughly enjoyed crafting and cross stitching. She dedicated a lot of her time being a member of the American Lutheran Church.
On November 21, 1972, Margaret married Darrell Swick. Together they owned and operated Swick Farms and Windy Coolie Llamas. Margaret and Darrell enjoyed many trips to their cabin in Monarch, traveling back to Minnesota to see family, and also trips to Vegas and showings for their Llamas. They traveled many places together in their motorhome until Darrell passed away in 1994. Margaret moved to Havre, and in recent years she enjoyed visiting her many friends, especially Joyce and Shirley and Greg and Marcia Durward, who was a great friend and neighbor to her, always willing to lend her a helping hand. She loved to visit people and eat at Char's Restaurant every day. She attended church at First Lutheran and participated in many of their church activities.
Margaret was preceded in death by her first husband Frank "Bud" Goodian; her second husband Darrell Swick; her daughter-in-law Judy Goodian; her stepson Jim Swick; her grandson Brandon Firman; and her son in-law Bill Scofield.
