Madeline May Gardipee, 78, passed away on July 25, 2019. Her wake will begin at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2019 followed by her funeral at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019 all at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rocky Boy. Madeline was born to Samuel and Minnie Sangrey on December 2, 1940 in Rocky Boy, Montana. Madeline married Henry Gardipee Sr. in 1964. The couple was blessed with six sons. Madeline was a staunch supporter of the Box Elder Bears basketball team, following the team and traveling with them. She also was known for making beautiful star quilts. She loved to travel and go to the Northern Winz Casino.

Madeline was a teacher for the Rocky Boy Head Start program. She was also a cook at the Rocky Boy School making delicious meals for the students.

Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Gardipee; sons, William and Robert (Bobby); sisters, Rena, Sybil, Inez, and Charlene; brothers, Dennis and Micheal; and her parents, Samuel and Minnie Sangrey

She is survived by sons, John, Henry Jr. (Hank), Justin and Dennis, sisters, Patsy Rainingbird and Ramona Henderson, brothers, Samuel, Richard, and James (Buzzy) Sangrey; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
