Lynne Gray Davidson Boles, 73, passed away February 16, 2011 at the Northern Montana Care Center following a long illness. Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Home with Ila McClenahan officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the Elk's Lodge immediately after. Memorial contributions in Lynne's honor may be made to Kitty Keepers of Havre , The Havre Animal Shelter or a memorial of one's choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Lynne was born March 13, 1937 in Havre, to Ruth Wagner and Jack Davidson. She graduated from Havre High School in 1955 and worked as a Mountain Bell Telephone Operator. She married Robah "Bud" Eldred Boles, Jr. June 15, 1955 in Coos Bay, Oregon. From 1955 to 1968 Lynne and Bud were stationed with the US Air Force, spending most of their time overseas in France, England, and Scotland being her favorite. Bud retired to St. Augustine, Florida in 1968 and together they opened two antique and art galleries with the numerous items they had purchased while traveling. Lynne returned to Havre in 1973 with her children, following the death of her husband. Lynne was employed at the Hill County Council on Aging for two years. In 1975 Lynne began working at the Hill County Sheriff's Office as a Dispatcher/Secretary. She absolutely loved her job and the people she worked with. Lynne was the first certified forensic document examiner in the State of Montana. She was a graduate of Scotland Yard Forensics, in Woodbridge, England and a graduate of the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. She was a Fellow with the International Graphoanalysis College and life member of the National Forensic Academy. Although the deputies were "her boys", she retired from the Sheriff's Office in 2001 to spend more time with her grandchildren, books and cats, and because she hated computers. Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister Jaqueline . Lynne is survived by her son David (Tammy) Boles of Havre and daughter Vicky (Clyde Jr.) Thomas of Havre, Montana. Along with her grandchildren: Brandalyn (Robert) Kurtz; Clyde "Duke" Thomas III; Chelsea, Kyle, Michaela, Jerod and Janae Boles. Lynne is aslo survived by her feline children and best buddies Pottsie and Smokey.
