Linda was born on January 17, 1949, in Anaconda, Montana to Gilbert and Olive "Sis" (Demuray) Meyers. She was raised in Anaconda and Rocky Boy, attending school at Flandreau Indian School. Following her school years, Linda began spending time with Morris Weasel Boy with whom she had two children, and then she had two more. She and the kids moved to Colorado and then California for work, where she met Humberto Luna. They married and had two boys. Over the next 20 years, the family lived in Montana, Colorado, and California, until Linda and the kids relocated to Rocky Boy in 1987. There, she attended Stone Child College, obtaining her Associate's Degree.
Throughout her life, Linda worked in laundry services, child care, health care, and as a cashier. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and watching the Golden Girls and Walker, Texas Ranger; but she especially loved playing Poker, and could do so for hours on end. Linda was a loving, spunky woman who always had dogs and some cats, and raised many of her grandchildren. She was especially close to her daughter-in-law Laura until her death this past September.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and "Sis" Meyers; daughter-in-law Laura Luna; brothers, Donald Meyers and John G. Meyers, Guini Swan, Pete Swan, and John John Swan; and sisters, Alice Jean Russette and Bernice Meyers Russette, "Tiny" McLaughlin, and Nancy Swan Courchane.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Gilberta Weasel Boy of Ontario, CA, and Monica (Eddy Lujann) Black Tongue of Rocky Boy; sons, Morris Lee (Stacey) Weasel Boy and Lydell (Rachel) Meyers, all of Box Elder, and Robert Joseph Luna and Humberto Luna, Jr., all of Rocky Boy; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Jackie Lou (Meyers) Swan, of Rocky Boy; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends. If we have forgotten anyone, we apologize.
